Our Core

At LEAD UP Malaysia, we believe that real, lasting change begins with strong values. As a non-governmental organization dedicated to empowering communities, our work is built upon four core pillars: Leadership, Empowerment, Inclusion, and Diversity.

Together, these four pillars guide LEAD UP Malaysia as we strive to build a better, more just, and inclusive Malaysia—one empowered person at a time.

LEADERSHIP

Leadership is at the heart of everything we do. Through programs like LIFT and Run-2-Win, we train and mentor future leaders—especially women—equipping them with the skills and confidence to lead in their communities and even in political spaces.

EMPOWERMENT

Empowerment means giving individuals the tools to uplift themselves. Whether it’s through our Community Centre offering vocational training and entrepreneurship workshops, or our health campaigns under SayangiDiri, we help people take charge of their future—economically, physically, and mentally.

INCLUSION

Inclusion ensures no one is left behind. We create safe and welcoming spaces for all, including marginalized groups and survivors of domestic violence. Our efforts are centered on social justice and making sure every voice is heard.

DIVERSITY

Diversity is our strength. We work with individuals from all walks of life, embracing different backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences. By promoting diverse representation in leadership and society, we build stronger, more resilient communities.
